Laurie’s relayed that they found her sister Robin in New Mexico. She doesn’t have all the details yet except that she’s dehydrated but uninjured, and her 2 dogs were with her.

As of this afternoon my friend Laurie’s sister, Robin, hasn’t returned from what was intended to be a short hike yesterday in Ski Basin region of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Friends & family are out there now searching the area and the NM state police have been informed of the situation.

In the outside event this situation takes a turn for the serious, I’m posting here to ask if anyone:

a) has any experience with a missing hiker situation like this, and could advise in any way as to the best things to be thinking about and doing right now.

b) has connections or knows folks in the Santa Fe, New Mexico area that could help in this situation…like government, local police or outdoor rec officials…or anyone else they think could be of assistance in figuring this out.
