Prospect Heights for Obama fundraiser and party on Sept 27th

Photobucket

The Prospect Heights for Obama neighborhood group is throwing a party for Obama this coming Sept 27th from noon to 6PM at Rustik in Brooklyn, NY. Admission is free. Donations and proceeds will send volunteers to battleground states to do the crucial groundwork of getting the word and the vote out for Obama.

Event organizer Ruby Lawrence, on the details of the event:

There will be a raffle so if any of you would like to donate raffle prizes or know of a business to reach out to it would be greatly appreciated. (We have some wonderful ones already!) The raffles are 5 dollars a ticket and a deal at 5 for $20!

We’ve also created a printable PDF poster for a DIY clothing drive you can do (in your building, at work etc.). The donated clothes will be sold for 5 dollars a bag with all the money going towards our cause.

We also need volunteers for the actual event so please lend a lend if you can!

I’m going. You should too. I’ll be getting to Brooklyn Friday late, leaving Sunday late, all up in the Heights loving on Obama for the duration.

(If you’d like more info on attending the event, volunteering for the event or setting up your own clothing drive, please post a comment to this entry with your questions and best email address to contact you, or email me.)

This is important. By participating in events like this, together we can make the difference we’ve all been talking about for so very long, by taking action in support of the single most important American cause of our lives:

Obama for President.

BOOM.
